Ravens Roost #41 Home

York, Pennsylvania

"The White Rose City"

Welcome to Ravens Roost #41 of York, Pennsylvania (the first original Ravens Roost). This organization was founded in 1997 by a small group of people who wanted to follow and cheer for the Baltimore Ravens football team when they arrived in Baltimore. Now over 100 members strong, we are a chapter of a larger group known as the Council of Baltimore Ravens Roosts that has over 2,500 members like ourselves and promotes football in Baltimore.

The purpose of Ravens Roost #41, as noted in the Roost Bylaws, is to promote the interest of the Baltimore Ravens' Football team, as well as, promote good fellowship among the members in all activities that the Roost is involved in.

As a group we have many organized events and also raise money for charity. Our current charity is Access York, to which we donate cash raised thourhg fundraisers several times during the year. We also provide food (Thanksgiving) and gifts (Christmas) to needy families nominated to us by Access York (Letters of Appreciation). We have tried to develop our group as a family organization and plan our events so that your entire family may be involved.

Charity Fundraising Events

The current charity of Roost #41 is Access York, to which we donate several times during the year. Roost #41 donations are made possible through several Roost #41 - sponsored events held through out the year, every year. Our major, annual charity events are as described below:

Raffle Tickets
We hold an annual raffle for a set of two Ravens season tickets. This is our largest fundraising event. The tickets are sold during the early summer and the winner is awarded the tickets in late July in time for the start of the pre-season.

Fundraising

Joe Corbi Pizza & Cookie Dough Sale
The Roost also has a second fundraiser during the winter. This is our Joe Corbi's pizza & cookie dough sale usually held near the holidays or close to the Super Bowl.

Events Sponsored By The
Council of Baltimore Ravens Roosts

We also support the following events sponsored by the Council of Baltimore Ravens Roosts:

Ravens Roost Convention
The annual convention is held during the first part of June in Ocean City, Maryland. During this multi - day event there are a wide range of games, events, etc to include a volleyball tournament, a parade, a dance, and a kite flying contest and even an opportunity to meet a Ravens player or two - a lot of fun for the entire family!

Bull and Oyster Roast
The Council Bull and Oyster Roast is held in February or March each year in the Baltimore area. There is a buffet, a band, and a chance to win prizes and an opportunity to meet Ravens players and coaches.
Family Picnic
The Council family picnic is usually held in August at a state park in Maryland. This event is open to Roost members and their families. In addition to the good food, there are games for the children.
